Notes

Notes from the lab.

Short updates on what we're building, and longer notes on how we work. No newsletter, no schedule. We write when there's something worth saying.

  1. Essay

What a Friday demo looks like

Thirty minutes, a staging link, and nothing we'd be embarrassed to show. Here's the format.

  2. Essay

Native or cross-platform: how we actually decide

There's no default answer. There is a short list of questions that gives one in about an hour.

  3. Essay

Why every project starts with a one-page brief

Not a spec, not a contract. One page that says what we're building, for whom, and how we'll know it worked.

  4. Update

    New site, same snap

We rebuilt fingersnaplabs.com from scratch this week: a vector version of the mark, one snap animation instead of twenty effects, pages that say what we do and don't do, and a contact form that actually reaches us. Next out of the lab: the first product. We'll write about it here when it's real enough to show.

Your next product could be one snap away.

Tell us what you're building. We'll reply with how we'd approach it.
